Kory Hoertz

Kory joined AUI in 2010 and has spent his entire career with the firm, playing a key role in shaping its culture and technical foundation. He became an Enrolled Actuary in 2014, was named Partner in 2021, and currently serves as Chief Actuary, a role he assumed in 2025. Kory is deeply involved in setting the firm’s actuarial standards and ensuring consistency across plan design, compliance, and funding strategy. He is known for combining technical precision with practical application, helping position AUI to deliver thoughtful, well-structured solutions across its client base. He also leads internal training initiatives and stays closely aligned with evolving pension legislation to keep the firm current and operating at a high level.

A native Californian, Kory was born and raised in Orange County. He met his wife in high school, and they now have three children – two girls and a boy.
